Whoa! Unmatched job alerts with preference.
This must be because you have not customized your job alerts to fit your career preference. To customize your job alerts, login to your Milkta profile and Click on the My Account drop down and choose Manage Job Alerts. You can fill in what you want and then customize your alerts.

Q. I have not been receiving any regular job alerts. Why?

If you have not been receiving job alerts, it could be for one of these two reasons:

  1. You may have unsubscribed at one time. Login to your Milkta profile and Click on the My Account drop down and choose Manage Job Alerts. You can then customize your alerts or activate your alerts.
  2. The alerts are in your email’s Spam/Bulk folder. Check your spam/bulk folder. If you find them there, whitelist info@milkta.com so that the alerts will go into your inbox instead of Spam.

Q. How do I upload my CV?

To upload your CV on Milkta.com, click on the ’UPLOAD CV’ button and follow the instructions.

Your CV format must be in Word Doc or Docx (a text file), Rich text format (rtf) or in a Pdf format.
After you must have followed the listed instructions above please click on the ‘Submit’ button.

Q. Why am I having issues uploading my CV?

Due to the following, application errors can occur when trying to upload your CV:

  • Not filling the forms appropriately.

Q. How do I edit my job?

To edit your job, take the following steps:
Step 1: click on the Jobs button on the top of any page in your account. This leads to your jobs page

Step 2: click on Options on the job you want to edit, on the jobs page in your account. A drop-down appears.

Step 3: click on Edit in the drop-down.

Step 4: make the desired changes in the form that follows, and click Save.
For jobs that are already live, the changes made will have to be approved by us, before they are implemented. You will get notified via mail when these changes have been approved.

Q. Posting a similar job, Viewing job statistics, Marking a job as filled, and Deactivating a job.

To do any of these actions, take the following steps:
Step 1: click on the Jobs button on the top of any page in your account. This leads to your jobs page

Step 2: click on Options on the job, on the jobs page in your account. A drop-down appears.

Step 3: click on the desired action in the drop-down.

Note That Marking jobs as filled and deactivating jobs can be done on many jobs at a time. Also, marking jobs as unfilled and activating jobs (reactivating jobs that have been deactivated) can also be done on many jobs at a time.
To do any of these, take the following steps:

Step 1: select the intended jobs such actions are to be carried out on by ticking the check boxes on the left of the intended jobs, on the jobs page in your account.

Step 2: click on the Mark as Filled, Activate, Mark as Unfilled, or Deactivate button, located on the top right of the jobs page, right below the Search Jobs button OR at the bottom of the Jobs page.

Q. How do I view the applications to my jobs? (The Job Applications Page)

While filling thePost a Job form, you can select your desired application collection option. By default your applications are saved in your Milkta.com.gh employer account. If you choose to receive the applications in an email address, the applications will be sent to the email address you specified (and will also be saved in your Milkta.com.gh employer account). If you however choose to redirect applicants to an external web page, the applications are not saved in your Milkta.com.gh employer account.
To view the applications to your jobs, saved in your Milkta employer account, take the following steps;
Step 1: log in to your Milkta employer account, and click on the Jobs button on the top of any page in your account. This takes you to your jobs page, where you can see all your jobs.
Step 2: click on View Applications on the job whose applications you want to see. This leads you to the job applications page for that job, where you can see all the applications for that job.

Q. Viewing profiles, CVs, Cover letters, & Downloading CVs of Applicants

You can view the profiles, CVs, and cover letters of the applicants to your jobs. You can also download their CVs, all from the job applications page.
To do any of these, click on the desired action on the application of interest, on the job applications page.
You can also download the CVs of many applicants at a time. To do this, take the following steps;

Step 1: select the intended applications such action should be carried out on by ticking the check boxes on the left of the intended applications, on the job applications page of the job, OR use the Select Applicants by Status drop-down to select applicants with a particular status, that such action should be carried out on, on the job applications page of the job

Step 2: select Download CV from the Choose Batch Action drop-down.

Step 3: click GO

Q. Changing the status of applicants


Changing the status of an applicant implies indicating the application as Shortlisted, Rejected, Hired, or Pending. By default, applications have a pending status, until changed.
To change the status of an applicant: click on the status you wish to give the applicant among the Status drop-down, on the intended application, on the job applications page of the job.

Q. Sending mails to applicants via your Milkta Employer account

To send a mail to an applicant through your Milkta Employer account, take the following steps;
Step 1: click on More Actions on the intended application, on the job applications page of the job.

Step 2: click on Send Mail to Applicant from the More Actions drop-down.

Step 3: fill in the subject and message body, and click Send Message.
It is also possible to send a mail to many applicants at a time. To do this, take the following steps:

Step 1: select the intended applications such action should be carried out on by ticking the checkboxes on the left of the intended applications, on the job applications page of the job OR use the Select Applicants by Status drop-down to select applicants with a particular status, that such action should be carried out on, on the job applications page of the job

Step 2: select Send Mail to Applicants from the Choose Batch Action drop-down

Step 3: click GO

Q. Adding private notes on applicants, Considering applicants for other jobs, & Deleting applications.

To do any of these actions, take the following steps:
Step 1: click on More Actions on the intended application, in the job applications page of the job

Step 2: click on the desired action in the More Actions drop-down.

NOTE: whenever you add a note to an application, you can click to view the note, by clicking on View notes on this application, in the More Actions drop-down on that application. You can also see all the notes created on all applications by clicking on View All Notes.

Q. Filtering Job Applications (The Advanced Filtering Feature)

The advanced filtering feature is a tool which enables you to quickly identify which applicants are qualified for your jobs, saving you the stress of having to go through all the CVs of your applicants, to identify the qualified ones.
This feature is found on the job applications page (at the top of the page), and is available for only Quality Shortlist jobs.

To filter: specify what you are looking for in the various search fields provided, in the Filter Applications section (at the top of the Job Applications page), and click Filter. This will bring out only those applications that match what you have specified

Q. How do I access Milktas CV database?

Milktas CV database is accessible once you have a Milkta Employer account.
To access the CV database, click on the Database CV Search button on the top of any page in your account. This leads to the database CV Search page. You are instantly able to search for CVs in Milktas CV database.

Q. How do I carry out a database CV search?

To carry out a database CV search, take the following steps:

STEP 1:click on the Database CV Search button on the top of any page in your account. This leads you to the database CV search page.

STEP 2: specify what you are looking for in the available search fields, and click theSearch Database button.

Profiles of candidates, who match what has been specified, are displayed.
The first search field seen on the database search page is the Search using Keywords. Putting in words in this search field, and clicking the Search Database button will display profiles of candidates who match what was specified. To search with more criteria, click on More Search Options. Indicate what you are searching for in all the search fields you desire to use. When you are done, click the Search Database button. Profiles of candidates, who match what was specified, will be displayed.
Filtering your database CV search result: on the CV search results page (the page which shows you the results of your database CV search), there are different criteria with which you can filter your results by, in the Filter Result section on the left hand side of the page.
Filtering your search results helps to narrow down your search so you can find exactly who you are looking for.
To filter down, tick the check boxes beside the criteria you want to filter your search by, and click Filter.

Q. How can I gain access to download a database CV (add a candidate to my Saved CVs), so as to view the contact details of the candidate?

Downloading a database CV implies adding the candidate to your saved CVs, from where you can then download the candidate’s full CV with contact details. ClickingSave/Download CV button on that candidate in the database search results, adds the candidate to your saved CVs.
To gain access to download database CVs (add them to your Saved CVs), you need to post an Express Candidates or Quality Shortlist job.
An Express Candidates job gives you access to download 3 database CVs, while a Quality Shortlist job gives you access to download 5 database CVs.
On the top right corner of any page in your Milkta Employer account, it is stated how many database CVs you have access to download at any given time.

Q. More on Database CV Search (Refining, Saving, and Resetting your search)

Refining your search: do this when you want to search by more/less criteria, than what you previously searched for. To do this, click the Refine Search button (available at the top of the CV Search Results page), make the desired changes in the various search fields in the page that follows, and click Search Database.
Resetting your search: to reset your search, click the Refine Search button (available at the top of the CV Search Results page), then click the Reset Search button at the top right of the page that follows.
Saving a Search: do this when you want to come back to a particular search later. To save a search, click on Save this Search (at the top of the CV Search Results page). This will save the present search you carried out. To view your saved searches, click onView Saved Searches at the top of the CV Search Result page. Your saved searches are also listed on the right hand side of the database CV search page (the page that appears when you click on Database CV Search on the top of any page in your account)

Q. How do I post a job?

To post a job on Milkta, take the following steps:
Step 1: click on the Post Job button on the top right of any page in your account
Step 2: Select your desired job package (Standard Job Ad, Express Candidates, or Quality Shortlist)
Step 3: fill the post a job form that follows and click Post Job at the bottom of the form.
Note That your job goes live on Milkta after our validation process. Pending that time, it has a pending approval status in the Jobs page of your Milkta employer account.
Also, if you attempt to post a job without logging into your account, you will be required to log into your account, or register (if you have not yet registered) before your job post will be successful.

Q. Where can I see all my jobs with Milkta? (The Jobs Page)

You can see all your jobs with Milkta, by clicking on the Jobs button on the top of any page in your account. This leads to your jobs page, where all your jobs are listed.

Q. Saved CVs

Saved CVs is a compilation of profiles of candidates and their CVs, containing contact details, which have been obtained from Milktas CV database. Profiles & CVs in the Milkta database, prior to being added to your Saved CVs, will have the contact details of the candidates withheld.
Clicking Save/Download CV button on a candidate in the database search results, adds the candidate to your Saved CVs.

To view your saved CVs, click on the Saved CVs button on the top of any page in your account. This takes you to your Saved CVs page. Your Saved CVs are also listed on the right hand side of the database CV search page.
You can view full profile, view attached CV, and download attached CV for your saved CVs. To do these, take the following steps;
Step 1: click on the Options button on the candidate of interest among your saved CVs
Step 2: click the desired action in the dropdown that appears.
You can also download the CVs of many candidates at a time among your saved CVs. To do this, take the following steps;
Step 1: select the candidates whose CVs you want to download by ticking the checkboxes on the left of each
Step 2: click the Download Selected CVs button at the top or at the bottom of the page.
You can also send mails to the candidates in your Saved CVs. To do this, take the following steps;
Step 1: select the candidates you want to send a mail to by ticking the checkboxes on the left of each
Step 2: click the Send email to Selected button at the top or at the bottom of the page.
